Furnace Creek Golf Course, Death Valley
Experience one of Golf Digest’s “America’s 50 Toughest Courses.”
Furnace Creek Golf Course offers great California desert resort golf, a unique golf vacation and an ideal winter getaway. At 214 feet below sea level, this 18-hole, par 70 course is also the world’s lowest elevation golf course.
During a 1997 redesign, noted course architect, Perry Dye added subtle mounding and re-contoured greens to the already fun layout. Water comes into play on nine holes and four sets of tees provide an enjoyable challenge for players of all skill levels.
Note that the Furnace Creek Golf Course website showcases many packages for lodging, golfing, family and group fun! Hard to believe this is so very close to both Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Don’t forget to HYDRATE and wear light weight and light colored clothes.
